Welcome

Warfield Cattle is a family operation located in central Maryland. The current farm location got its start in the Warfield Family in the 1940's. Shortly after its purchase, it was named Midnight Farm because the work often lasted until midnight. From the start it was a small diversified farm that had cattle, hogs, horses, sheep, and chickens. The farm then transitioned into a swine operation. Now the focus is on producing cattle that can compete in the showring and perform in the pasture.
The farm is operated by J.G. and Ben Warfield. J.G. is a Purdue University graduate. While at Purdue he was High Individual Overall and a member of the Champion Team at the International Livestock Exposition Collegiate Livestock Judging Contest. Ben showed many species of livestock in 4-H, but cattle was his true passion. He served as President of the American Junior Shorthorn Association Board of Directors. Ben was named an All-American while on the judging team at Butler Community College and graduated from Texas A&M University.
